Be Faithful Unto Death

Delta force promises a medal, a body bag, or both.

Shackleton promises long months of complete darkness, constant danger, but honor and recognition in success.

And yet Christ's promise to us comes at even greater a cost than these.

Eleven of his twelve disciples were martyred; being crucified, skinned alive, beheaded, slaughtered with spears, burned at the stake, or stoned.

Paul himself writes, "From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep;" (II Corinthians 11:24-25 NKJV)

And now the Lord asks, "Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” (Isaiah 6:8 NKJV)

For those who will say, "Here am I! Send me." it will cost everything you have; for we are entering a time again where to follow Christ means to be thrown in prison, to lose relationships, family, wealth and financial gain, and even your very life.

But take heart, for the reward He gives is more than anyone else could ever offer.

"Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life." Jesus the Messiah, Revelation 2:10b NKJV
