I am a law abiding Canadian citizen.

I have served my country as an Infantryman in the Canadian Armed Forces.

​

I have no criminal record or arrest record, and it's been over ten years since I've even had a speeding ticket.

​

I have dutifully followed all the laws and regulations in regard to my firearms license; ensuring my registration is up to date, and that all possession, transportation and storage regulations are complied with.

​

Every 24 hours my name is run through a data base to ensure no new criminal convictions exist.

​

But as of May 1st, 2020, I am now in possession of an illegal firearm which I can no longer use, sell, or even transport.

​

I will have until May 1st, 2022, to forfeit my personal property or receive a criminal conviction.

​

At the stroke of a pen, myself and tens of thousands of law abiding restricted firearms owners would now become criminals should we choose to use our rightfully owned property in the same responsible manner we had just 24 hours prior.

 

I understand, as you all do, that it is of the utmost importance that we fight for our rights as firearms owners, and that all diplomatic and non violent means be completely exhausted in pursuit of our liberties and freedoms.

Which is why the first step moving forward is to consolidate.

​

It is 'priority one' that we join together in this fight against these unjust laws, as we are always more effective working as a unit.

 

I strongly urge you to become a member today of the the CCFR (Canadian Coalition for Firearm Rights) as they will be spearheading the fight against these firearms bans in the coming days.
