Christendom's Formation

If you want to know how why the Crusades were waged, you need to look 1,000 years prior to the Apostle Paul's journey across Asia and Macedonia in preaching the gospel.

The message of Christ spread westward like wildfire, and was ultimately the basis for Christendoms formation centuries later.

The people in those regions accepted the gospel of Christ and over the next few generations the Word of God reshaped their culture and society entirely.

This is a wildly oversimplified concept that spans across empires and time, but the foundational principle remains true as ever.

The inevitable outcome of a Father who possess a zeal for the Lord is the conversion of his entire family.

The result of families like his, adhering to the ideals of the Holy Bible, is a whole society that reflects that same reverence for the Word.

The result of a society filled with a righteous passion to uphold God's Holy Law and to glorify Him, is a governance structure that will reflect exactly that.

That's why I say there is no political solution.

The solution will manifest politically, absolutely - but the solution is Christ and Him alone.

Now some of you are old enough to know better.

I mean, how many broken campaign promises and scandals and betrayed allies and traitorous deals with our enemies have to happen before we realize that only God can save us.

He's the only one who ever could.

Remember, "if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

It doesn't say if the heathen turns from their sin, it says if a righteous man turns the rest will be saved.

A perfect picture of standing in the breach for society, like Moses did for the ancient Israelites and like Christ did for us at the cross.

It's why almost 1,000 years after the Gospel was preached to the Western World, Godfrey of Bouillon led his Crusaders across 2,700 miles of impossibly difficult terrain to fight a far superior force on their own home territory.

It's why Spain waged a 770 year war of the Reconquista which saw Christian states repel Muslim invaders to unify Spain under Christian rule once again.

If you want to defeat the enemy and establish peace that lasts for hundreds of years as Godfrey or the Spaniards did, you have to understand that the battle doesn't start with the first swing of a Christian sword.

Not even close.

It starts with you, right now.

"And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none."

Those words of the Lord haunt me, as they should haunt you.

I don't know if it's too late to turn this ship around, and it might very well be; but I know that if we are to survive, if Christendom is to survive, we need men to turn back to God.

Listen to me, I don't care what color tie sits in the seat of power.

They wouldn't be there if God didn't ordain it, and they're only a reflection of the moral state of the nation anyway.

The only thing that matters right now as we stand on the precipice of a thousand years of darkness and chaos, is that we turn back to the person of Christ.

That when God looks for a man to stand in the gap, he would find one.

And that starts with you, right now.

It starts with Godly men leading their families.

It starts with families standing together for Christian principles in their communities. And it spreads from the pews of every church building into the streets of every city and into the every aspect of society until those who call themselves followers of Christ begin to fear the Lord again and seek to glorify Him in all things.

My brothers in Christ. If we want to save your nation, then before we have reconquista we must first have revival.
